Our Kick-off meeting on September 12th in the Student Center at Oglethorpe University was a great beginning to our Branch year! Approximately 30 members and their 27 guests gathered to talk about AAUW and the Atlanta Branch.

Jan Sexton (Oglethorpe University) and Beth Brandt (Emory University) who attended the National College Women Summer Leadership Conference (NCWSLC) with Branch support prepared a power point presentation highlighting their experiences.

Branch members Betty Slater, Myra Carmon, Huiping Du, and Sarah Rondeau also developed an AAUW Atlanta Branch power point which was shown during the tea.

Information about two potential special projects which the Branch will explore during this meeting year was available.
