Plan to Attend the February 5, 2011 Branch Meeting

AAUW Atlanta Branch Members are invited to a unique private meeting with representatives  two organizations, Street Grace and Cool Girls,  which are working to help victims of sex trafficking.  They are also involved in efforts to get legislation introduced that will stop this criminal activity.   It is staggering to learning that 7,200 men in Georgia buy sex from kids every month.

The meeting will be held at North Avenue Presbyterian Church, 607 Peachtree Street, Atlanta  (30308- 2226) from 10 am to noon.  Speakers from both organizations will describe their efforts to help victims of sexual exploitation.  They will also focus on opportunities for Branch members to become involved in volunteer activities such as mentoring.   There will be plenty of time for questions and discussion.  Light refreshments will be served.

Your attendance will help the team working on the issue of sex trafficking as a potential Branch  signature project gather information, particularly what our Branch could do this to a make a real difference for these victims.   Please come and learn more about how our Branch could help combat sexual exploitation of children in the city of Atlanta.
