Travel Group to Visit Auburn Curb Market
The Travel Group will meet at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday November 8th at the Ansley Mall Kroger Store to carpool to the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, 209 Edgewood Ave. Atlanta. The group can enjoy the new additions and the sense of culinary discovery that defines this historic food hall.

All books sold at the fair are donated and all sorting, pricing and sales are accomplished by member volunteers.
The Atlanta Branch uses the proceeds to fund:
- AAUW Educational Foundation
- AAUW Legal Advocacy Fund
- Local Undergraduate Scholarships
- Community Action Grants and Programs

History
The Atlanta Branch of AAUW started holding an annual book fair in 1960. That year the fair was in a tent on the open-air upper level of the brand new Lenox Square Mall. In 1973 the book fair moved into Lenox’s newly enclosed, air-conditioned mall. It is now located in Atlanta’s Perimeter mall. In 1997 the book fair became a cooperative effort of the three branches in metro Atlanta:
